It's grown from the sleepy little town it was when I was stationed there late 70s early 80s. Still nice place to visit and the people are down to earth good people. Loved Port Royal & wetlands, downtown Beaufort busy, car congestion, but nice views from the water's edge.

A quiet little town like most cities USA.
A quiet little town like most cities USA. Surrounded by water, lakes rivers, and ocean so there are more than a few bridges to cross. A decent number of hotels, and restaurants to serve all of those who visit this city while attending a week of Marine Recruit Graduation.
At least 20,000 Marine Recruits attend the training there at Parris Island so approximately 2000 family members attend graduation three times monthly so the city of Port Royal, and Beaufort should obtain grants to cater to all walks of life Americans who come to shelter, lodge, eat, shop, and fill up with gas, as often as this for our Military population.
This adds up to approximately 40,000 family members of 20,000 Marine Recruits who visit as a result of ONE REASON, MCRD PARRIS ISLAND, SC!! Quite The Economic Powerhouse I Would Say!!

Beaufort is a beautiful town.
Beaufort is a beautiful town. Please tell me Bookings.com is really serious about paper straws over plastic. They are more toxic than plastic. All the coffee stuff is wrapped in plastic. The soap containers are plastic. Water bottles are plastic. It makes me sick to see the total hypocrisy by Woke idiot managers of companies like Bookings. Will never use you idiots again.

Downtown Beaufort is nice, but it's quite small.
Downtown Beaufort is nice, but it's quite small. There are some decent areas but mostly there's nothing here. You have to drive 45 mins to Blufton for anything. I only go because my daughter lives here, due to my son-in-law is stationed on Parris Island.

Upon check in customer service front desk was exceptionally rude! What a way to welcome your guests, we had called ahead and no one said there was a 50$ non refundable pet deposit, no free continental breakfast, or we were told 13$ over the phone then told 17.95 per person when we arrived. And it's like this place is made for only people who drink alcohol, you have coke, alcohol, alcohol and more alcohol to choose from.Bed was uncomfortable, no comforter just a thin itchy blanket. No room service, and I don't recommend this hotel
Happy the breakfast was out before 6am and it was more than edible. It is an older building that has been remodeled, so it is not a high end hotel. However, the bed was comfortable, it was clean, I saw no bugs, staff was pleasant, price was the best around, located near plenty of restaraunts, breakfast was better than the coffee, plenty of space for 3 adults, and plenty of parking. I would stay again.
I liked the fact that the location was central to the places we wanted to go. One of the best things is that there were about four restaurants within steps of the hotel which eliminated searching and taking time from activities that we wanted to do in the short time we were there. It was a great place for the price range, and staff was friendly and helpful.
Michael, who ran the breakfast area was fantastic. He did an excellent job serving the long line, keeping the dining room spotless and had a great sense of humor. The front desk staff was rough and not very friendly. If it were not for Michael, we would have moved hotels for the second night.
The apartment was exactly as described. The location was perfect. It was a one mile walk to downtown Beaufort and a block away was a beautiful town park filled with with moss laden live oak trees. The espresso machine in the kitchen was a joy to have.
Staff were lovely-friendly, helpful and professional. We would have liked to have been in main house. Walk in shower would be a nice addition. All and all, a great place to stay in Beaufort.
This quaint Inn is situated in/near to Downtown Beaufort. The room was a good size. The bed was comfortable. Good storage and a good shower. WiFi good. Staff friendly and try to be helpful.
The house is over 100 years old and is in the historic part of Beaufort. My husband is a history buff so right up his alley. We could walk everywhere and take in the beauty of the city.
The room was clean and simple. We loved learning about the hotel's history. The breakfast was GREAT! Best breakfast we have had at a hotel. We will definitely come back.
Everything was great. Excellent staff and service. Full breakfast from 6am - 9am. Convenient to all the surrounding areas. One of the best hotel stays I had in a while.
the staff at the hotel was very nice and helpful. Also the deposit amount was positively surprising. It is in a good location with easy access to local attractions
The Hotel was exactly as billed and very PET friendly. We knew the pool was out of commission that did not affect as much.
The room was generally clean.
